Well....there it is! That's my baby. He kinda looks like he is hanging out in a hammock. That is his elbow you see between his belly and his head.

I finally went to the doctor to find out how far along I am. As of today, the baby is 13-1/2 weeks. That means he/she will be arriving around the end of January. We were also able to hear the heartbeat and it was at 144 beats per minute. That sure is fast!!!

I say he/she because it is too early to tell the sex of the baby. We will find out around 16-22 weeks. And don't you worry...we will definitely find out!

I am taking bets on what it will be. Can you tell from the picture? Let me know what you think. The nurse that found the heartbeat said it would be a girl because their heartbeats are very fast...usually 144-147. Of course, she then went on to say that she had the exact opposite on all three of her babies. So what does she know, I guess?

"Come as You Are, Worship in Your Car"

Eric and I have been in search of a new church home since our move. This area is really based alot on denomination and it is fairly hard to find a good bible-based Christian church like FCC where you can just come in your t-shirt and jeans.

Today, I heard on the radio that there are drive-in churches around here. I thought that was so strange! I had to do some research.

Sure enough, there are churches where you drive into the parking lot and listen to the service in your car. I even heard that everytime they want an "Amen!" you honk your horn. Their slogans are "Don't drive by, Drive in" and "Come as your are, Worship in your car."

They do have worship services where people are outside on stage singing and playing their guitars. I don't know if the service is broadcast on the radio or if you just have to roll down your windows. I am kinda wondering how they do communion.

Needless to say, Eric and I will not be attending a drive-in church...no matter how comfortable we want to be. Sure it might be different, but it is just simply wierd.

Pretzerellas

Tonight we ventured Downtown and tried out a recommended place to eat. It was called Olde Peninsula and it was a pretty neat pub. It was packed and we were hungry, so we ordered an appetizer as soon as we sat down. There was a lot to choose from, but we saw something very interesting and it was "a must" to try.

They were called
PRETZERELLA STIX.

It said that they were mozzarella sticks that had pretzel pieces in them. We were imagining the pretzel pieces incorporated into the cheese and fried like a mozzarella stick.

Much to our surprise, when we got them they weren't. They were these long mozzarella sticks with breading that had also been rolled in tiny pretzel pieces and fried. So the pretzel pieces were on the outside of the stick.

They were a little taste of Heaven!!!! They were the yummiest things I have ever sank my teeth into (at least for mozzarella sticks). They had this crunch to them that the pretzel pieces added. I really enjoyed them. Can't say much for the rest of the meal, but I would definitely go back just for the Pretzerellas!
